Meeting with Chief Minister at CMR, Jaipur

A meeting was organized at the Chief Minister’s residence in OTS, Jaipur by the courtesy of Vigyan Bharti Rajasthan, Directors and Vice Chancellors of 18 various science, research and educational institutions of the state and senior members associated with Vigyan Bharti were present in the meeting. Dr. Meghendra Sharma (Secretary, Vigyan Bharti Rajasthan) introduced all the dignitaries present in the meeting. Honorable Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma welcomed all the dignitaries present in the meeting. While addressing the meeting, the Honorable Chief Minister said that Rajasthan is progressing very slowly in the field of science, technology, research and higher education as compared to other states. In all these areas, the state government and all related institutions will have to work together rapidly. The Chief Minister also asked for suggestions to rapidly advance the state in the fields of science, technology, research and education.

All the dignitaries present in the meeting from 18 different institutions presented suggestions to the Honorable Chief Minister according to their respective areas of work and assured to work quickly with the government. The team discussed on various fronts to establish Rajasthan as a place of national and international importance in science and technology. The Government of Rajasthan is holistically considering making a significant contribution in promoting productive opportunities for making Rajasthan a separate state. In the meeting, Dr. P.C. Panchariya, Director, CSIR-CEERI, proposed the establishment of CSIR Resource Center in Jaipur; He explained how CSIR, with its vast network of 37 laboratories working in various areas of technical importance, can be a great asset to the State, if such a resource center is established in Jaipur, it will directly benefit the overall development of the State.

On this occasion, the quarterly newsletter of Vigyan Bharti Rajasthan was also released by the Honorable Chief Heads of institutions like CSIR-CEERI, MNIT, SKNAU, Jobner, State GST, Subodh College, Parishkar College, SMS Hospital, Noble Kidz School, Arya College of Engineering and IT, VC of MLS University, CEO-REPC, Chairman Bharatiya Jaivika Kishan Sangh, Heinemann Charitable Mission Society and other dignitaries were present in the meeting. Dr. Meghendra Sharma assured that Vigyan Bharti will play its representative role for the betterment of the State and assured that soon the State will reach a new goal with a holistic approach.
